Club promoter Phil Morse is getting hard-up clubbers queueing to take advantage of a cut-price deal on Saturday nights at the Boardwalk club. The half price offer for skint customers at one of the club's Tangled nights has to be proved by the production of a current bank statement showing accounts in the red.
Embarassing, maybe. But, according to Phil, his customers aren't backwards at coming forwards about their finances. He said: "The first time we had an In the Red night about 12 people turned up with their bank statements and they're now a regular event, so we expect there will be a lot more.
"Why do it? We're into fun as much as profit and we thought it would be nice to offer our punters a cheap night out for a change." The next night is on Saturday, November 16.
